2024 of NFPA 70E is out and enforceable!. We are now training to the revised 2024 standard . There are no significant changes which affect our daily manner in which we approach electrical safe work practices, mostly administrative / format locational changes. A new annex has been added to assist with assessing the condition of maintenance. The full standard with revisions is available at NFPA.org one the free access viewer or order in print.

The latest revision of NFPA 70E was issued May 2024 and is enforceable now. Qualified Electrical Workers need to understand these new requirements. While most of the updates are administrative changes, there is again an emphasis on deenergizing and also some great information on how to properly assess risk when interacting with electrical equipment through a proper assessment of the condition of maintenance.
